Welcome to the Ventura County Contractors Association Web Site. Since l946 the Ventura County Contractors Association has worked to provide its members with the support and services to help them grow and prosper.
Membership in VCCA provides the opportunity to work with other members to promote the construction industry in Ventura County. The combined power and strength of an organized group helps each member at a leverl greater than members could afford on their own.
Our extraordinary Plan Room is only one of the many advantages available to our membership. The Plan Room operates M-F from 7 AM-4 PM and Saturday 8-11 AM to allow members access to examine bid documents for cost estimating jobs on file. The Plan Room is the only fully operational facility of its kind between Monrovia and Santa Maria.
The Plan Room is equipped with all the office support necessary, including a conference room, copy machines, telephone, fax machine, on-site notary public, plan copier and some attorney approved forms for our members.
Members can do take-offs in the Plan Room or check out the plans overnight to do the estimates offsite. Our publication, Construction Industry News, is mailed to members every other week and contains an updated listing of documents on file with bid dates, architect and owner names, project scope and other pertinent information. As a member you will have free access to Cybercopy "on line plans".
Cybercopy is a major reprographic firm in the County and a VCCA member. They scan and image nearly all of the bid documents in our Plan Room and many, many more from private sponsors. You view the plans and order the pages you need directly from Cypercopy. What a powerful service and an asset to have available for our members.
Education of members is a primary focus of VCCA. There are monthly Dinner Meetings featuring a guest speaker whose timely topics together with exhibits, samples, literature and question and answer periods, allow members to see and hear the latest developments impacting the construction industry.
VCCA also has other high power events that prove more than just fun: The Annual Golf Tournament in July; an Annual Outdoor BBQ held in August; year-round participation in Home Remodel Shows throughout Ventura County to promote VCCA member contractors, and the annual year-end Christmas Special in December.

Public awareness campaigns are used by VCCA to educate the general public on how to select a contractor and referrals are given.
Member names are included in our annual "Membership and Construction Services Directory", a comprehensive booklet listing all members in alphabetical order and by specialty trades. Other substantive information on Ventura County and cities is provided in the Directory as well as here in our website.
For big cost savings, VCCA offers discounted workers' compensation insurance provided by State Compensation Insurance Fund. Up to a six percent (6%) premium savings is available in our group, Group 586. Another member benefit has been added in early 2007: discounted Group Medial Insurance. In early 2010 the Board approved the inclusion or Philadelphia Insurance Company to our product line. Philadelphia offers discounted rates on premium liability lines for VCCA members and is open to all brokers for competive quotes. Our members are licensed contractors and other associate firms involved in the construction industry, such as material suppliers, equipment rentals, banks, attorneys, accountants and realtors, to name a few.
